What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information — in plain English.

heyolive builds and hosts a website for your business. To do that we need a few pieces of information — mainly your email, your business details, and the content of your site. We don't sell your data, we don't run ad networks on you, and you can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing us. Here's the detail behind that.
heyolive is a product of The Site For Sites, a web-design business based in Wickenburg, Arizona, USA. For any privacy question or request, email jonathan@thesiteforsites.com and a real person will handle it.
Here's everything heyolive actually collects, and why:
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Your account email | To create your account, sign you in, send trial reminders, billing receipts, and account notices. |
| Your password | Stored only as a secure one-way hash — we can't read it, and neither can anyone else. |
| Your business information (business name, address, phone, hours, services, photos, and anything else you give us at intake) | To build and fill in your website. This is the raw material your site is made from. |
| Your site content (the text, images, and edits you or Olive create) | To generate, host, and display your published website. |
| Form submissions from your visitors (e.g. name, email, phone, and message someone types into your site's contact or quote form) | We pass these leads to you — that's the whole point. We store them so you don't lose one. |
| Visitor analytics on your published site (page views, traffic sources, rough location, device type) | To show you proof that your site is getting found and generating leads. |
| Payment information | Handled entirely by Stripe. heyolive never sees or stores your full card number — Stripe does, and only shares us the last four digits and status. |
| Basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) | Standard security and reliability — spotting abuse, debugging, and keeping the service up. |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We rely on a small set of trusted companies ("processors") to actually deliver the service. Each one only receives the specific data it needs to do its job:
| Service | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Payments, subscriptions, and card processing. Your card details go straight to Stripe. |
| Google (Places & OAuth) | Pulling your public business details (address, hours, reviews) to help build your site, and — if you choose — letting you sign in or connect with your Google account. |
| Cloudflare | Hosting, content delivery, data storage, and security for heyolive and the sites we host. |
| Anthropic (Claude AI) | The AI that writes and edits your site copy. Your business info and site content are sent to Anthropic to generate that content; it is not used to train their models. |
| Resend | Sending our transactional emails to you (trial reminders, receipts, notices). |
heyolive is cookie-light. We use a small number of essential cookies — mainly a session cookie that keeps you logged in — and we don't run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See our Cookie Notice for the plain details.
We keep your account and site data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we keep your site data for at least 30 days so you can come back or export it, after which inactive data may be removed. You can ask us to delete it sooner — see your rights below. We may keep minimal billing records longer where the law requires it.
Wherever you live, you can email us and we'll help. If you're in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have specific rights, and we honor them for everyone:
Email jonathan@thesiteforsites.com with what you want — access, correction, deletion, or export. We'll verify it's really you (usually by confirming from your account email) and respond within the timeframes the law requires. It's free.
heyolive is a business tool for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
heyolive is operated from the United States, and the services we use may process data in the US and other countries. By using heyolive you understand your information may be handled in the US.
When you publish a site with heyolive, you are the one collecting information from your visitors (for example, through your contact form). This policy covers how heyolive handles data on your behalf; you're responsible for your own relationship with your customers and any privacy notice your business needs to give them.
We may update this policy as heyolive grows or as the law changes. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
Email jonathan@thesiteforsites.com any time. A real person reads it and writes back.
